I’ve been working at the company for almost four years, never had a problem until our new manager took position. Ever since then it’s been constant drama, bullshit and then using me as a scapegoat whenever something goes wrong. Anyways, my manager told numerous people including me that they were going to fire someone. I told the someone about the possibility as they have told me they live paycheck to paycheck. It spiraled, oh well, knew it was going to happen but of course instead of doing anything to the manager, they’re getting me in trouble for spreading lies when numerous other workers have said they heard the manager say that as well.
I’m tired of it. I’m tired of working 50 hours a week while my own manager only works 30 max, tired of doing the hard labor that the manager doesn’t want to do and makes me do, tired of being blamed for things that I didn’t even do. So I’m quitting. I have no job lined up but everywhere is hiring.
I don’t even want to give them a single minute of my time. I don’t even want to drive the ten minute drive to go down there and say I quit to their faces. Is it possible that I just call the store and say I quit? Or even text the manager that I quit? Has anybody else done that? What do I even say?
