Is it me, this thread bringing things to light or are employers really this stupid lately?

So I lost my job due to budget cuts 3/31. I'm in the market again unfortunately and have been applying for things left and right, as I have a family to take care of. The list of requirements for entry level jobs is outrageous and I've been a manager the past several years. I'm trying to stay in my field of expertise, while applying to both worker bee and supervisor positions, as I know my worth. It appears businesses don't care about experience or demand an egregious amount of expertise. Example 1: I see you're applying for our floor supervisor position in our factory. You have 4 years experience working in warehouses, 7 in an industrial environment and 15 years as a supervisor…. Buuuut you don't have a bachelor's degree. I'm sorry but we're looking for recent college graduates with bachelor's degree's. Example 2: Manufacturer Engineer I class (entry level)…

Example 2: Manufacturer Engineer I class (entry level) must have bachelor's degree in M.E. with 10+ years experience in a warehouse environment, 5 years working on a conveyor system and must be willing to be permanently stuck on mid shift.

Like what the hell man. I'm getting rejected by basic places for the counter opposites of what they're wanting to hire for. I either have too much experience or not enough. All I see everyday is jobs URGENTLY HIRING that I'm qualified for telling me no and then seeing them reposted days later. Hell I even applied to Starbucks for shits and giggles to get SOMETHING coming in and was rejected for having no experience.

Like how the fuck are you supposed to exist in this day and age? How are people surviving? It's almost as if everyone loaded into adulthood set to hard mode and once you finally get somewhere, you're punished for it. How the hell are we supposed to get by in life?
