I'm quitting my job at Crumbl bc it's 1. shit pay (why am I making $13 an hour when I've worked fast food for a year and half and others with no experience are making more?) I tried talking to the managers about it when I found out but they basically said there was nothing they could do. 2. It's a toxic workplace environment bc my general manager is extremely critical and the new manager we hired just sits on her ass all day and is a shit-talker (he also tends to fire people based on rumors) 3. I got a better offer from target.
I understand we are a food business so we must act professionally but my manager acts like we are a fine dining establishment. Every cookie must come out absolutely perfect to the smallest detail otherwise corporate will come in the store and watch us. It really freaks me out how much the each us through the cameras. It's to to point where they know every step we take. I thought working at a bakery would look good on my resume since I was thinking of going to culinary school to become a baker. But instead I'm getting treated like shit and my managers basically told me our store overstaffed. They don't know when the next raise will be. Again I understand I gotta work to earn money but I believe with my experience I should be making a but more. I'm 20 and have worked 2 jobs and I'm getting paid lower than my last two jobs with no raise in sight. I've put in my two weeks notice just to be nice. Anyway, I'm done ranting, thanks for listening lol. If yall have any thoughts about this, let me know 🙂
