Quitting my job has never been a bad thing.

Management threw me on the floor with a handful of new guys and what was on our resumes didnt seem to translate to where we were placed in the factory. Union job – shop steward was banging a coworker – do I have to suck you off for representation too? I'm LGBTQ+ and that worker is openly transphobic – Feels very un-uniony. Management threw me on the floor with a handful of new guys and what was on our resumes didnt seem to translate to where we were placed in the factory. One new worker, very young, got their vacation after 2 weeks, and trained on multiple areas to ease their workload. I am left on the most laborious and intensive job and treated like a know-nothing, every time I stopped the machine for a legitimate reason someone runs over to make sure I'm not taking a break, people running in front of me to do my job assuming I can't or don't want to. Pointing me places like a dog. I move the money you take home to your kids. Give me some damn respect or you can run this shit yourself.
Put my clothes on at lunchtime, told HR someone confiscated my weed without filing an official report, that's a union contract violation, told them they would have a real hard time keeping people, and that was exactly why I turned down their contingent sign-on bonus. Sign-on bonuses are just a way for them to shove their junk all the way down your throat so that they can disrespect you – it would cost you $1500 to leave instead of a simple beautiful walk home.

Trapped in manual labor. Ready to branch out. Hard to apply for anything not laborious because they say “Well, your resume is only manual labor, so you might not be a good fit.”

Have an ebike and a credit card. The will to jump back into hustle apps. Desperate to find a way to pay the bills without being on someone else's schedule.
