I work 12-8 (overnight) as a 911 dispatcher. I’ve been at this small center for about 7 months. Well long story short, I fucking hate it and it’s a toxic work environment. My co-workers are awful and my boss is incompetent.
I am handing my boss my letter of resignation this morning. Of course, as awful as this place is, my morning relief called out sick so I am stuck working until noon.
I am not providing a 2 weeks notice. My resignation will be effective immediately. I already know I am going to get pissy remarks and made to feel guilty the second I turn it in.
At this point however, I just don’t have 1 day left in me to give to this place. Im moving forward, and don’t care if I won’t be rehirable with this city. Am I making the right move???
TLDR: my job is terrible and I am not giving a 2-weeks notice. I have never quit without notice before, should I feel bad?
