Quitting my toxic job

I'm handing in my notice at the end of the week to go to a new job offering 20k pay rise, more benefits and less bullshit. The driving factor for me is my toxic boss. She's the type who thinks and will openly express that younger staff are “entitled” because they want to clock off at 5. When staff complain about mental health issues and struggling with high workloads, she will say they need to manage their time better and do “deep breathing.” She will also blame staff who work on weekends and evenings saying its “their fault.” It's the obliviousness for me. I'm handing in my notice at the end of the week to go to a new job offering 20k pay rise, more benefits and less bullshit.

The driving factor for me is my toxic boss. She's the type who thinks and will openly express that younger staff are “entitled” because they want to clock off at 5. When staff complain about mental health issues and struggling with high workloads, she will say they need to manage their time better and do “deep breathing.” She will also blame staff who work on weekends and evenings saying its “their fault.”

It's the obliviousness for me. The complete disregard and lack of empathy. The failure to realise and appreciate that these staff work hard and are the backbone of the compan. Show some gratitude.

I'm just appalled at this type of behaviour. She clearly doesn't respect her staff and that was just the turning point for me. I can't work for a boss like that.

Shes 10/10 going to question me when I resign and I'm really not looking forward to her 21 questions. I'm just done and want to move on. She's for sure going to be shocked and say some bullshit like “why didn't you tell me you were unhappy” or “after all the time we put into training you”
Umm.. you do realise that training is a normal part of any job… right…
