Rant About Time Off.

I’m a driver and was hired as an independent contractor for context. I just put in dates for my anniversary which is still 3 months away. I was informed this morning that I’ve thrown a wrench into the works because apparently my manager has already planned a trip over those dates. A: 3 months is a ridiculous amount of advance notice, no? B: It’s not my responsibility to make sure my manager has their shifts covered. It’s their responsibility as a manger to make sure we have enough people to cover these situations. C: It’s my time. I’m loaning them MY time. I can take my time back whenever I like, because it’s MINE. What’s so hard to understand about that?
