I come from Syria and I study medicine, 2 years till I graduate. Over the last years I worked in multiple part-time positions to support myself and my family, they were mainly in the crypto space.
Now due to the market crash the main guy I used to work with is now asking for double time for half the price, which leads to my hourly rate cut down by quarter!!
Also they didn't pay be my last paycheck which was supposed to be in Eid, and I spent one of the two biggest holiday in my country almost broke because we live paycheck to paycheck.
We're treated like shit and we are only offered below minimum wage just because we come from third world countries and they expect us to be peasants and work for free!
Whenever I'm jobhunting either I can't go to a website because of my IP address (like usertesting and such websites) or the employer turns me down even before knowing my history or what can I do!
What am I supposed to do to get a fair living? Working in my country isn't an option because they are give even less salary that the ones online and I'd need to do 24 hour shifts in order to get some real cash.
No part-time jobs left for the Syrian kid anymore? I hope every employer that turns down arabs and third world countries burn in hell
