I've never had this be a thing, is this common for you all? I've never had a company make such an issue over my education, like it's a job with a major tech company (I will decline to name them) in an L2 position, I get there's people who fake it, but holy shit if they're faking it this far along, they're probably good enough to not need the damn education anyway, and references? WHO STILL USES THOSE!?!?! Is this still common for any of you? Do people still commonly ask for and use references? And go through checking for education outside of basic entry level jobs? It's not like my highschool GPA is really impacting dickall at this point.
