Kind of a rant and I can’t sleep. Seriously, why do agencies bother mandating 4 weeks notice if they’re going to use the time to be petty and punish staff?
I gave more than 4 weeks notice and have less than 2 weeks left. My boss turned to ice this week and stopped answering my messages. I think it dawned on them exactly how much I have covering with the various vacancies over the years. After work today I get a call from the Vice President telling me that I’ve been tasked with a potentially dangerous assignment early tomorrow morning. They explained that there had been meetings discussing it all day that my boss had been facilitating. My boss had multiple opportunities to tell me this and brief me but they chose to let the VP deliver the task.
I really want to rage quit right now and let them deduct the leftover days from my vacation time. I can’t believe that after 5 and a half years this is how they want to end things.
