I don’t want to argue about why I don’t particularly see some things as immoral but there’s plenty of others I do. I just wonder if you could advocate to someone in this position what would you say.
I’ll have complete financial freedom by 30 if I accept that I’m willing to make the world a (almost negligibly) worse place.
Or I’ll be looking for a minimum wage job now and struggling till I’m 50 for an infinitely inferior quality of life.
One option is contribute to the rat race and inequality to be successful.
The other is to be a victim of the race and inequality.
I ask, what do you even say? Do you think it’s better I suffer and struggle than relax?
I am no more important than anyone else but why am I expected to put them ahead of me.
This sub is anti-work and I have the opportunity to not work, why do I feel as if this sub would begrudge me that.
I’m not that important this is less about me than it is about the sub as a whole.
How do you guys feel about these choices? Are you sure you’d give the same advice to your own family?

Why are people so quick to advocate decisions that would be against their own interests?
Is there any nobility in poverty truly?
