My workplace is very short staffed to the point one of my co-workers has over 100 vacation hours but can't use it because they have no one to cover for him. It made me think if you were to book a vacation and they denied your request, realistically would you just say fuck it and go? Call in sick? Or say nevermind to the vacation and go to work in fear of losing your job?
Realistically, id say fuck it only because if I were to get fired, I have money to live off of, but there would be hesitation because everyone is hiring yet no one is hiring. But I know not everyone can do that.
