Not entirely happy about but it is what it is want to learn and better ky self have a good career etc. After working that shift for about a year and throughout that year makeing my complaints about specific aspects of the job im not happy with and that i would like to go back to my old position. I will say that most of my complaints could of been resolved and i would of been happier. Here is just some of them there is…

So some background I am a diesel mechanic. The company i worked for sent me to a 5 week course to get a basic start/ training of what the job would entail. Come back from the training get put to work on semi trailers for 6 months. Then a guy quits i get transferred to working on semi trucks night shift 8:30pm to 5:00am M-F. Here is just some of them there is alot more. No appreciation for the guys that work night shift day shift get a food truck during the day and we get whatever is left over. Extreme favoritism of day shift employees for anything. If you work on a truck and a day shift employees also works on it they will get all the time for there efficiency bonus instead of you. Basic shop maintenance is none existent. Such as shop tools you need to preform your job are broken and not repaired or missing or they refuse to get because it cost to much. No training for anything whatsoever just eh go figure it out on your own. And on to my favorite complaint the night shift foreman. He has over 30 years experience in the industry but has to ask how to do the most basic things you should know how to do within a year. Will sit on the phone talking about personal non job related things while i sit there waiting for him to make repair orders because he refuses to show me how because thats his job and i dont need to know. A complete lack of basic hygiene you can smell him from 10ft away. And in general just a complete asshole. So i decided to get a new job better pay, better hours, better training, and etc. Put my 2 week notice in on Monday had to do it via email as manger was on vacation. Was able to talk to him Thursday. Told yea i am leaving for better pay and better hours. He asked how much more i told him upwards of 26 and a sign on bonus (currently i am making 19.00) he then proceeded to yell at me and i mean top of his lungs yell how you dont know jack shit about anything. You know they are going to shit can you at this new job. I asked how do i not know anything and then listed all the types of repair and etc i have done. After that talked about 2 other reasons why im leaving all the time he is still yelling at me. He then proceeds to offer me 2 dollars more and to change my shift to get training. His actions and attitude has completely ensured i will be moving on.
