Here is a decent rant. Holy S, work in a small office, restaurant company on admin side, this is so dumb I had to post.
Everyone with a brain knows recession is here. We offer zero benefits, the job pays the bills. Higher ups are so clueless. We have a water cooler, basic hot/cold drinking water, cost $35 a month, location the corner of a storage room. Owner who’s really owns multiple businesses that we are given tasks to work on is an ancy Nancy, wants to get rid of this monthly cost. Not opposed to tap water, but this is ridiculous. He got rid of it today with only talking to my direct coworker who oppose it. My coworker knows we like cold clean drinking water. “It’s taking up too much room, and we need to consider cash flow”… coworker literally says “okay then I will pay for it because I know the people here like having that”… owner, “no, it’s in the way”. Him and I work in our own office space with more than enough room. It can go right by my desk.. this mf is still a “no”.
What the literal F, he bought the already successful business that he DID NOT CREATE, but thinks he is making the next Shakeshack, their owner is actually legit been in the industry ground level to where he is.
I almost can’t believe the incompetence of the rich being so naive. “We can buy a filter to go on the tap”… it’s unbelievable. If you are worried about this, then there are numerous other issues, but you don’t pay us (coworker and I) to tell you. Absurd to the highest level.
I almost factory rest my laptop and quit.
