I guess this isn't “antiwork” as much as it is “anti recruiter,” but I've been interviewing for various jobs and luckily got an offer from the one I wanted the most. I had talked to a couple recruiters throughout this process. Last Wednesday an interview was set up for today through a specific recruiter, but on Friday I got the job offer I was hoping for. I immediately accepted and did some onboarding paperwork before the weekend. This morning I gave my two week notice at my current employer and remembered this interview that was scheduled for this afternoon, so I emailed the people who were set to interview me that I would have to cancel and thanked them for their consideration. About 2 hours later I get a text from the recruiter about how unhappy with his firm they are and that they “expected more decorum from a business professional. Best of luck”
Feeling like I dodged 2 bullets, one from the group interviewing me and one from the recruiter. Got some serious negative vibes from that text. Glad I was fortunate enough to get a much better job and that I can tell them to pound sand. Why are they so upset with the recruiting firm? Why is this recruiter so upset with me? Seemed like a lot of misdirected frustration all the way down.
