Regional manager fired me, then people started to quit

First off, I was fired for a valid reason. i was caught swearing in the restaurant. That said, i was just fired. no write up, no suspension, just fired. TLDR: regional manager fired me. store went from 2nd in region, to 15th out of 20 as a result.

First off, I was fired for a valid reason. i was caught swearing in the restaurant. That said, i was just fired. no write up, no suspension, just fired.

So i was a employee at my local golden arches. we had about 20 stores. Our store was #2 out of these 20. i started as a basic crewman and worked my way up to crew trainer. i was liked by all my coworkers and had their respect as i often would speak up against the store manager (SM) about how she acted and treated us. At this point, i had most of the managers access codes cause i was one of the few employees that the managers trusted except for the store manager.

I then worked my way to manager in training. (the owner approved it making the SM very mad). I had the loyalty of everyone in the store. i would stand up for them, defend them, deal with difficult customers. my store would push over 100 cars a hour in the drive-thru and kept our average time under 150 seconds per car. We rarely got complaints when i was working.

the crew's loyalty to me was the SM breaking point. she couldn't stand that people would come to me for help instead of her. She couldn't stand that people would accept shifts if i was working and deny shifts if she was working. She couldn't stand that people would answer the phone when i called. She put in a rule that we have to call from the work phone to call employees so that they couldn't answer based on who called.

This is where i got fired. I was having a disagreement with the SM over shift placement. (Shes been fighting my placement for a while, saying that I'm not doing enough Varity in the placements. My strategy, was to put people where they were good and liked to be. happy employees work better).The regional manager happened to be there and i was near the middle of the store and said some thing along the lines of, “its my FKING shift, i place people as i need to”. regional heard that, pulled me to the back, said that was unacceptable and after talking to SM, fired me.

he was right of course, but others have sworn in the store in front of customers and nothing happened or a simple write up.MY store employed about 70 people total. over the next month. they dropped to 30. most of them quitting in response to me being fired. Since 2015, the store is now sitting at about 15th place or so as i still have a few friends on the inside. Every time i go there now, my orders are wrong or messed up in some way, and takes about 10 minutes or more to get through the drive-thru now.

edit: i forgot to add now in 2022 Im making about 4x the amount i was before and Im making more then the SM.
