So I'm lurking here almost daily and I'm totally convinced we live in a complete bullshit system. I live in Italy were people working in gastronomy, bars etc. barely makes it to the end of the month while owners are stupidly rich, engineers are paid like shit and companies costantly complains about “We DoN'T FiNd AnyOne” when they want to pay a Software engineer below the average salary and so fcking on.
Now, I'm an engineer with 6 years experience (I'm around 30 years old) and I manage highly complex industrial installations from the technical and economical sides. I was given a market worth around 250 kEUR/year, now I'm managing around 1.5/2 MEUR/year.
I make around 50% more than the average Italian salary and around double the median one and what I feel is that I'm payed with the crumbles left from my work.
When I'm contacted by head hunters and they ask for my salary, either they disappears, or they offer me a ridiculous +20/30% increase that by taxes is probably +15% that is even less than what I'm making since I also have a variable part.

Well, yesterday was fucking ridiculous. I was discussing with a big industry for a Technical Sales role and they asked me “Why are you looking for other opportunities?”
WHY DO YOU THINK IS THAT????? I WANT MORE MONEY I DON'T GIVE A FUCK AT ANYTHING ELSE
So I politely said that I have projects, I want to build a family and so on, and to do that, I need higher cashflow.
Well even if the technical side was OK and I already knew the market and the products and the technical details, they said me I was rejected because “It seemed like I was more interested in the economical side of the job rather than working for the company, that it seemed like I would have accepted any high payed job and not this one in particular”
WELL YOU KNOW WHY IT SEEMED LIKE THAT? BECAUSE IS FUCKING TRUE
So know I will fucking lie to any future interview, that I love the company and my dream as a kid has always be to work for them. STUPID FUCKERS I HATE THEM.
I just wanted to vent my anger, but if you have any advice to ASK FOR MONEY WITHOUT ASKING FOR MONEY, Please let me know.
