I worked as a shift manager at a fast food place. One day, the best worker in the store asks me if it’s weird that she hasn’t gotten a raise yet. I gawked because she’s worked there over a year and should have had 2 already. (First after 3 months & second one after 1 year… they were 25 cent raises lol)
The manager at that store was notoriously sexist and also horrible at his job. I found out soon after that every dude at the store got their raises at the scheduled time and none of the women did.
Talk to your coworkers about your salary, esp. if you’re a woman!
