This is the most ridiculous shit I have seen. I want part time work while I take online classes and half of the positions shown for part time on Indeed are just full-time positions advertising on multiple parts of the website.
Report them. I just saw one that advertised $15 an hour, then in the description listed that they only pay $10 an hour, but cover “mileage reimbursement, travel time, tips, and bonus holiday pay which adds up to at least $15 an hour.” It also has a non-cemented schedule, no holiday breaks, and requires you to pay for your own criminal background check. I am flabbergasted at the sheer audacity of the owner of the “company” to advertise dumb shit like that.
Whenever I have ever worked in any position like these, you are not getting $15 an hour like advertised, you are being promised the idea that you'll make that much. What really happens is you're expected to work more than promised in order to get that pay, which is not how a job works.
This shit is pathetic and makes my blood boil. Report these assholes and keep getting these shitty $10/hour nothing jobs off the market entirely. Pay your employees well or don't have a business and deal with it like the rest of us.
