I work privately as a caregiver. This is obviously a historically low paid position. I, however, currently make $25 per hour. I'm also traveling an hour round-trip. I'd like something closer to home, but all those positions are with companies advertising 12-14 per hour. Is there any point in applying and then trying to negotiate a higher pay?
