Resignation this weekend

So I moved halfway across the country for a new position within my company in May. Once I got here, my job duties changd drastically from the posted job description. Somehow as a service tech I was now required to do sales also (which I never would have applied for). My first 2 months here I did not have any of the things I was promised (company phone, vehicle, credit card, laptop, TOOLS, and even complete PPE). I was required (because my manager didn't feel like doing it) to chase down or requisition all of those things. Our intern went back to school 2 weeks ago, and his duties (~35 hours worrh) got dropped onto me. When I asked how they expected me to do my job, plus his, I was told to “figure it out” & that “we all have to make sacrifices for the customer”. Fuck that noise.…

Fuck that noise.

The straw that broke the camel's back was when a co-worker told me to throw another worker under the bus to my boss. When I told him that I don't do that, he pulled out his phone, called the boss, and did it anyway from “both of us”. I was so pissed I had to walk away so I wouldn't punch him in his smug face.

I started looking that same day, and accepted a new position yesterday. A bit of a pay cut, but right down the street from me, and a lot less bullshit. Gonna email my resignation over the weekend. Fuck this place. (Referenced other folk's letters from this sub, thanks to them!)

To whom it may concern,

Please accept this email as notice of my resignation as the Field Service Rep for ******. My resignation is effective immediately.

I appreciate most of the experiences that I have had with ****** over the last eight years, but after much reflection and due to recent events professionally, I believe it is in my and my family's best interests to depart from the company.

I wish you the best in the future.

My company assigned vehicle (with fuel card) is parked in the ****** parking lot.

All other company provided assets are located in the District Manager's office at above location:

Company vehicle and padlock keys
Company issued credit card
Company issued mobile phone (and accessories)
Company issued laptop computer (and accessories)
Company tools and safety equipment are either in the ****** building, or the company vehicle.

Respectfully,
