Resigned from my job yesterday.

Throw away account. I got a better job offer, so I quit my job yesterday. I have been there for just under 5 years. We’ve been laid off (multiple times), not been paid (multiple times), had our benefits taken away, I work 7 days a week only being compensated for 5, one 4% raise in 3.5 years. All our management has slowly left & it’s just myself & one other guy to run shop. As people leave, more responsibility gets put on my coworker and my plates, without being compensated or recognized for it. I’m worn out, I’m tired and I’m becoming more & more broke. I asked for a raise, a title change & a third week of vacation time.. after being ghosted for three months, I finally got an answer – all three were declined. I was told that I don’t do enough & the company needs more…

I was told that I don’t do enough & the company needs more from me (we’ve done three rounds of company cuts, I’ve made it through all three rounds of cuts, but I don’t do enough……………………. (Why wouldn’t you cut me if I don’t do enough??)

So my new job offer came in, and I quit right before my performance review.

I learned after I quit, that the company offered my coworker quarterly raises if he hits his goals. If they offered that to me, it wouldn’t have been good enough to retain my services. Not looking for more empty promises that will never get fulfilled.
