So a coworker told our supervisor several months ago she wanted to retire beginning of 2023. She failed to mention it to a higher up. Now the coworker is catching all kinds of flack. Told them they need a one year notice. We’ve had a couple people retire without a year notice and they didn’t get the riot act. According to HR you only need 2 weeks notice. I shouldn’t be surprised by this though.
