Return my work laptop

I just got fired from my first “real” job a couple days ago. They still haven't reached out to me about returning my work laptop so am I supposed to wait for them to contact me about it or do I have to initiate going back in to return it? Or if I don't hear back from them is it possible for me to keep it? I don't have to use any company email or username to log in the laptop fyi
