Hey so i've been resorting to this lifestyle for the past couple months while I look for a job. Just trying to get some pocket money to fend for my needs while helping my dad. I go around the dumpsters in the apartment complex I live in. I don't touch the recycling bins however. Nobody's had an issue with it, people even help me by giving me their recyclables. Nobody had an issue with it up until today. Enter a middle aged balding Darren wearing a rich man suit threatening to call the cops on me. I'm technically not “trespassing” since I live here. I'm honestly terrified of doing this now. The same apartment complex thats jacking up the rent soon.
I'm sick of struggling, my dad should be enjoying his retirement at his age instead of carrying me and my also unemployed brother in the pandemic. Our mom passed away a couple years ago so that's one half of the household income gone too. I've had to put my dreams and goals on hold to help them. Recycling is literally my only source of income at the moment. I have a decent work history and I still struggle to find a job. I effing hate rich snob Darrens and Karens.
