I hired this person into the company over a year ago, she was an amazing worker, had a great personality, etc. The office portion of my company basically had a rework last year and I recommended her for a better paying position and she got it. She was happy for awhile but the women that ran that part of the office were kind of mean. I thought it would work itself out and I only had contact with her as a friend.
There's always been a lot of turnover in the office, but I chalked it up to being a new company and learning the ins and outs of management.
However, today I was punched in the gut. I found out 3 of the office women had been conniving to oust this woman, so that one of them who hasn't been here but like 3 months or less could take her position.
It happened so fast that I was in shock, I still am. Everything they've done over the past 3-5 months makes sense, it all fell into place today. The GM basically victim blamed her for not being smart enough to see it coming. I'm so mad, and sick to my stomach.
Since we're in a right to work state she can't work out her time and was basically told to leave. All because she was looking for another job. She didn't have the money to walk away from this job without having anything under her belt.
I needed to vent, I'm so mad.
