I work in the pool management industry so understandably this season is the busiest time of year by far.
I told a colleague who was coming to one of my pools to help with a finishing touch I was sick with a fever and even getting home that day my eyes were watering so bad and I was sneezing so much I almost sent my work truck off the road.
I was initially told “sick days aren’t really a thing this time of year”. All I have gotten from my boss is silence but I’ve made sure to communicate and keep up to date with any emails or anything that’s happening.
I feel scared shitless that I’ve taken 2 days of being sick as of today during our busy season. I’m new to the team and am scared that people are going to want to help me less after this.
