So the other day I needed a few groceries and went out to grab them. I ran into a bulk food store and grabbed so peppercorns and some candy for the drive back. I went to pay and two of the cashiers were at the door looking at something. That something was my van on fire.
I left my stuff and ran. Now after things had calmed down these two young ladies brought me the peppercorns and candy. I hadn't paid for them but they said something along the lines of having it rough enough. It was a huge thing in the moment that I really appreciated.
So I called the store the next day to ask about leaving a compliment but realized that saying anything about the stuff may get them in trouble. How terrible is it that we live in a world where my compliment could get them reprimanded or worse. I hope that they received my thanks even if I didn't catch their names.
