SDSU’s Leadership is Morally Bankrupt

The university (San Diego State University) is aiming to take away affordable healthcare for student workers and squeeze them for every extra penny. (They currently have a budget surplus!) They want to replace a functioning quality plan with GSHIP. GSHIP Costs over $1,000 dollars to enroll in (that's roughly an entire month's worth of work) You cannot add dependents Are you a struggling single parent? Too bad. Is your spouse between jobs or cannot work? Too bad. Are you taking care of your elderly parents or other family members. Too bad. Students joined the university expecting that they'd be able to use the current plan for the duration of their studies will be forced to instead use GSHIP (or purchase on the open market which isn't financially viable).
