Seeking EEOC related advice …

According to the EEOC, the moment you tell your employer that you're filing a complaint, you become a whistleblower, and (allegedly) protected from further retaliation in terms of being fired, demoted, suspended, and harassed. How many of you have done this and what was your approach? For the record, I've been in contact with two law firms but they declined to take my case not for lack of merit but the fact that Employment Lawyers everywhere are buried in a 10 year backlog of cases against Unemployment offices.
