working for the company going on ~ 2 years. single guy – new homeowner. Employer isn't happy with me. sends me home which i agree to, and then says they will contact me about scheduling a meeting to “talk” about things with the boss boss. I sent an email out this weekend asking if they had any updates about said meeting/talk. they replied back stating they will try to set something up for this week. (currently off unpaid 40hrs for last week i assume.) I really need to go to work and get paid as my mortgage depends on it and i'm not against working. Is there anyway I can check to see if i am currently still hired online somewhere? like a state website of some kind? Their lack of transparancy is really awful. I just really want to make sure I am not getting fired/ghosted as I will need to apply for unemployment asap. I am job searching right now but I will obviously need to find the right job to support said mortgage.
