Trade Union member here. Recently moved cross county and joined a new Hall. The company I'm working with goes into new contract negotiations with my Union in Spring.
I just found out there is NO voting process for membership at large in this jurisdiction. The Union and upper management meet and agree, “sometimes” the Steward is brought in. Members are not. And, again, the membership does not vote to accept or reject the contract. Period.
Is this against NLRB regulations? Google isn't giving a straight answer.
