I’m just really scared and I’m looking for some guidance. I’m a student employee at a large state lab. One of the doctoral staff has been inappropriate with me. Like talking about how when he was down south for a conference prostitute we’re throwing themselves at him and if I knew where they hung out here. Wrapping his arms around my shoulders when I’m at my desk, stupid shit like that. I didn’t even really know that was his was saying or doing was inappropriate until my coworker asked if I wanted to report it. I said I did and I had a meeting with HR about it. Which was like a thirty minute meeting of them quizzing me over and over about what happened, his tone of voice, etc. they said that they would talk to him about it and I thought that was it. They said they would tell him not to contact me about it and not try to directly apologize to me as well. Turns out the actual university wants me to report it through them, since I’m a student. I don’t want their to be any trouble at my job, since he is really high up there and I’m only student help. I really love and need this job, but I’m scared of any repercussion and I’m scared of him.
