Hey there everyone. So here's the story. My husband works for a butcher shop. In the last 3 years his pay check has been late 8-10 times. Currently asking for banking records to see exactly how many times the direcr deposit was late. Well the last 3 paychecks have been late. The first one was 5 days late. The next time my husband left and said when I get paid I'll be back to work. They ended up getting paid the next day. Well again his check was late so he said again. I do not work for free I will be back when I get paid.
This is how his boss responded. He texted my husband and said you can come back the 31st. He put my husband on a suspension for not getting paid and for walking out for not getting paid. He then tells my husband's father that he is firing my husband and that he sent his last check in the mail. All of this sounds a little illegal. I just wanna know what my husband's rights are. How should he approach this?
Also to note my husband's cousin also works there and her first paycheck bounced. 🤷️
