I am curious if anyone has heard of this and has any advice. I hear the IRS gives rewards for whistleblowers?
The company I work for sells a project for $100,000. A home owner takes out a loan for this amount + dealer fees which are 26%. So the loan should be $126,000. But they have us calculate’26%’ by dividing by the difference (74% – $100,000 / 0.74) which equals $135,135
This leaves a $9,135 hole. The home owners take out a loan of the full $135k
And the company pays the dealer the 26% – $26,000. They then report the job as being a $100k job.
I brought it to their attention and they got all weird. I know they aren’t stupid. So am I crazy or are they hiding money?
