Shall I go to HR tomorrow?

Today, one coworker who works in Human Resources got to my seat in the office and yelled at me in a very mad and unprofessional way and said to me “Stop your laughter, I’ve been scolded 3 times because of you already” (in a tone like a mom who wants to hit a kid, not like we were in the office) and then she did not even let me speak and said “thank you” yelling at me and left. To give you some context, HR is located next to my department and they can hear us talking and so can we, but it has never annoyed me. I said to my boss “do you think that was fine?” She said it was not, but that I should take it lightly. I am planning to get to the head of Human Resources tomorrow because even though I and the person who yelled at me have known each other for two years, we do not have a personal relationship, just a professional one and she was not professional to me, she treated me like a kid and I did not know about the issue they had because no one had addressed it before and WAY WORSE, some people do worse stuff and no one goes to them to yell at them like that. Honestly, I felt like I was treated like a trash can.

I do not mind about feedback nor being called out but I am so sad because I see I was not treated decently and that I was scolded like a child just because of laughing. I felt like this coworker was super stressed and she got me as a chance to let it all out.

So….

So…. Shall I go to the head of Human Resources or shall I ignore it as my boss said? Am I being dramatic? Shall I shut up and try being professional myself?
