Shitty communication

I work at the YMCA and it’s progressively getting worse. We work outside in the heat, but if you have enough water it isn’t miserable. You deal with the light headedness and find a way to treat kids getting sick from 105° temps because your boss is telling you to “suck it up because this is what you signed up for.” While this is unfortunate, I tolerate it because things there are relatively enjoyable. My issue is really my hours. They’ll schedule me for 6 hours, which is already short, and then send me home two hours early. With the amount they pay me, I can’t really do that with a safe and sound mind. I try texting my boss about work hours and getting something more and she straight up never responds. The only time she responds is if I make direct eye contact with her and she can’t…

I try texting my boss about work hours and getting something more and she straight up never responds. The only time she responds is if I make direct eye contact with her and she can’t avoid me anymore. It’s frustrating. I don’t know how much I can work for people who won’t even talk to me about the times I work. I’m considering applying for other places due to the communication, but any solution to how to get responses from her would be nice.
