Started a job about a year ago been consistently having problems with them
First problem was a broken foot (I'm a cashier and they don't let anyone sit without a doctor's note) foot was the size of a football (pun kinda intended) sweating and shaking from how much pain I'm in (foot was broken due to bad feet I'm flat footed and “pigeon” footed my feet kinda angle inward / (like this) they refused to give me a chair and refused to call in a replacement got a doctor's note gave me a chair for a day demanded another doctor's note got one without a time limit wouldn't give me another one without me talking to HR whatever my foot was healed by then I just didn't want it to happen again
Second problem was/is they don't give me my breaks when they come around I'm the only cashier at register and they demand I stock and recover the store at the same time so the only breaks I get are the ones I sneak in between customers which the DM doesn't like but whatever fuck that bitch
Third problem and the most recent high blood pressure dizziness unable to stand for long without almost collapsing I personally think it's because the store has little to no AC in 90+ degree heat I work in Texas it's hell in a inclosed building with giant glass windows covering the front of the store and have to go back and forth between register and stocking etc (I used to work construction it wasn't this bad) they decide to call me the day after I get out of the hospital and tell me I'm working everyday 8am to no specified time stocking and working register I tell them no I'm far too sick to come in and since then I've had no word on when I'm scheduled again
4th problem is I make 9 an hour and never get more than 30 hours a week but immediately after I got hired on they started hiring people for 11 an hour and refused to give me a raise to that amount at the time I was making 8 or so an hour I wasn't happy I would quit but I've applied to over 50+ different places and nobody but this place has even responded to my application (more than likely because I'm a highschool drop out with no GED) and idk what to do some of this shit definitely feels like it shouldn't be legal but idk
