For context, I've worked here for 1.5 years. Production technician. When I started I actually worked in the shipping department and moved to the tech side a couple months after. I'm starting with a new large company with big salary increase and work from home next week and the VP seems very bitter about it since he was the one who hired me.
We made a deal before I gave a notice that I would help the shipping department because they were going to be down a couple hands. $300 amazon gift card was supposed to come my way all said and done. So upon hearing that I'm leaving the VP does not want to hold up his end of the deal and give me the card. My boss also said I should let it go if i don't want to “burn a bridge” with this company. I've been nothing but respectful and performed all my duties since giving notice but it feels like he is being super petty and trying to spite me for leaving.
My awesome HR rep told me I should just go call him out. Anyone have any advice? This guy is also a huge manipulator and will try to twist words however he sees fit.
