I've heard there's a program where they will basically pay your tuition and you just work part-time. There's a guy on my team who's like 40 something who leaves half-day to go take classes. The job I have now tops out at about $75,000 a year (I make $62,000). I applied for a higher position that would be $60,000 on the low end and $90,000 on the high end. I've seen postings for other jobs at the same “company” that require a Bachelors and a few years of experience that are about $80,000 on the lowest end and $120,000 on the high end. Then if you get to a level 2 for that same job it's more like $100,000-$140,000
Don't get out the pitchforks but I am only 25 and live with my grandma due to the economy being garbage and I'm really trying to just “suffer now so I can enjoy myself later.” This means even if I gotta have shit dating prospects or be seen as some sort of loser by living with my grandma, I'm just doing it so I can ball out in my 30s. So, should I accept this path I'm already on where I can end up making “pretty good” money or rough it for a few years so I can make way more later? I should point out I did get my associates 3 years ago.
