I’ve been working as a host at sit down restaurant for a summer job (for context, i’m still in high school). Now that i’m back to school, i’ve put in multiple schedule adjustments. In short, none of them have been followed. I’ve been scheduled for 12 hours a day on the weekends, and from 8 am to 3 for most weekdays. This is obviously when i’m at school. I told them about going back to school around a month ago, so i feel i’ve given plenty of time to prepare for this. Should i give them a two week notice or should i just quit now? I feel like they haven’t respected my time, so i should feel no obligation to respect theirs.

I was only getting 13.50 an hour, and i just found out most of my coworkers were getting 16 an hour, so this was obviously the right decision. I’ve had issues with the scheduling manager talking down to me or reprimanding me for others mistakes, so i think this might’ve been on purpose. (Even if it wasn’t, i’ve told her about my schedule change 3 times over the past 3 weeks, and she tried to schedule me while i was at school last week too.) I’ve got no plans to go back, and i don’t think quitting my job at cracker barrel is going to negatively impact my future very much.
