I have two part time jobs that i make barely $300 a week from. (i know very little i’m working on it). my nighttime job scheduled me to work today and when i asked them if i was getting paid time and a half they said no because i’m a part timer. last week they were giving so much shit cause i told them i wouldn’t come this weekend “why did you request time off in advance?” i did the right thing and let them know i wasn’t coming in and found someone to cover for me. my store manager always acts like my department is one of the most important departments in the store but we do a lot of heavy labor and only get paid $15.1 an hour. is this how you pay your most important department in the store? bc if it weren’t for my department there would be no merchandise to sell on the store. they fired 4 ppl on my team 2 weeks ago and now they want me to come in everyday bc i am one of the few ppl left that knows how to work the backroom. the schedule is all messed up bc they are bringing in a whole bunch of new ppl they need to train and while having ppl who know what they are doing as well. so now i came back early from my weekend trip and idk if i should even bother going into work ON A HOLIDAY and get paid regular time but i also kinda need the money cause i’m already getting paid dust as it is.
