Hi, (20 M)
So recently i finished my 6th sem exams and was looking for some chill freelancing with good pay, after a few days of looking around a senior of mine contacted me and asked me if I would like to continue a freelancing project(react project) he was working on with a freelancing company. He left the post because he got a full time job somewhere else. And the freelancing company wanted a react developer since they had none at the time.
I asked him for more details and then contacted the main project head for more details. He told me there were a few deadlines that were closing in but also told me that 60% of the project was already complete and all I had to do was integrate the API by the end of this month (half a month remaining).
He then told me he would pay me 20k and this is where he won me over.
It's been 2 days and I have realised this project is way too huge and that the deadlines are way to unrealistic. (The first demo deadline is on monday). There are multiple types of users and APIs react to each of them differently there are way too many modules included also i have to spend a good amount of time understanding the previous code.
It's just been 2 days since I've been working on this project and I'm already starting to feel stressed out maybe I'm weak.
But my whole intention was to chill out and earn some money not get stressed out again right after writing my 6th sem exams and try to finish projects within deadlines.
They had sent me a letter initially which was just to confirm that i will be getting paid if i finish the project which i said yes to there was nothing else written on it.
Is it ok for me to leave the job after the demo on monday. The freelancing company will be left with no react dev's and will have to search for another.
It is my fault for accepting the post in the first place getting blinded by the money. But I literally can't sleep, i thought I'll sleep early tonight but all I can think about is how fucking stressed I am as i litterally write this post at 2 am.
