Not anti work. Anti 9-5
So, I currently work in a highly stressful job. Make decent money. Allegedly getting a 20k raise by the end of year.
I have a decent savings 100k+.
I HATE THIS JOB. Ready to resign. 6 years working here.
Job includes medical and great benefits.
Family owns a business. I want to jump ship and take over and run the business. Successful btw. I have an entrepreneurial spirit and character. Working for someone else doesn’t satisfy me whatsoever. I work mon-fri 7-12pm and Saturday’s at family business. Sundays off
Girl friend doesn’t want me to resign. At least just yet. She said to wait a year. She has a corporate job. Great career ahead of her. She also has her benefits and all other good stuff.
I still want to work but not for this entity. I want to work for myself and family.
How can I make her understand that I am no longer capable of working there for another year. I simply hate my current situation. Fuck the 20k raise screw the benefits and all that bs. Life is too short to be miserable. I want to be happy. I’m heavily invested into the stock market as well. I’m up in my investments.
