Should I make the switch from HR to CS?

Hi all, thank you for clicking my post (If it gets approved which I doubt) I'm a 20+ years old guy who has -almost- scaped poverty, I got a government scholarship at my 17s and studied psychology, when I got this scholarship I was not even aware that universities were a real thing (only saw them in movies) I live in Latam and I've managed to get a great job, spent my whole career working and studying, and suddenly landed on an independent job working for a company, they paid $9/H which is what a person makes a day in my country, I was happy and working 100+ hours per week to make as much money as possible, this job ended before my current job. Hi all, thank you for clicking my post (If it gets approved which I doubt)

I'm a 20+ years old guy who has -almost- scaped poverty, I got a government scholarship at my 17s and studied psychology, when I got this scholarship I was not even aware that universities were a real thing (only saw them in movies)

I live in Latam and I've managed to get a great job, spent my whole career working and studying, and suddenly landed on an independent job working for a company, they paid $9/H which is what a person makes a day in my country, I was happy and working 100+ hours per week to make as much money as possible, this job ended before my current job.

I graduated and started looking for a job, a real one, found a great full time job as a recruiter with a US company that is paying me 8/H and I have been working for them 1.5 years now

However, as much as I'm grateful for the job and for the team I have, I feel more like an assistant and I can't get a promotion, vacations, holidays or benefits because I'm on another country (that's what they say) and to be honest, I'm tired of just working and working.

I'm really worried about becoming stagnant, I think there's not a lot to learn being a recruiter and I don't really like dealing with hard clients, rude people, and being insulted and hated by everyone (I can do it, but isn't my passion)

I love coding since I discovered it existed, been trying to learn some things about HTML and CSS outside the job using Udemy and FreeCodeCamp.

I know isn't easy at all, and pivoting in LATAM and without university studies in that field it's probably unrealistic, but I'm always thinking that I'd prefer that path for my life.

I love learning new things, building complex thing that happens to work later, and enjoying the process, that's not something I feel I'm doing in my current job even if I'm earning well, but I'm scared to try, spend a lot of time and then lose everything

Do you think is worth trying? Or just code as a secondary hobby and keep my career going on?

Thanks in advance.
