should I quit before I get fired?

I received my formal warning today and it's not something I'm going to be able to fix. I have a disorder which causes me to go through extreme highs and lows that cause me to miss work, and they're finally sick of my shit. Should I quit before I get fired? I assume it's better to put resigned on a resume
