Hello everyone, i hope you all had a great xmas.
This is going to be a long post and rant.
I'm having a really hard time thinking if i should make the decisition to quit. My job isn't bad at all, actually, i have a lot of benefits compared to other similar jobs:
-A little more pay than the average.
-Working an hour less per day.
-Great schedule.
-Very close to my house.
-I have my own office and can read r/antiwork in my free time (which sometimes is a lot due to finish my task very quickly) :DD
-No dress code (I'm a man with long hair and tattoos)
But it's my bosses and thier lack of recognition for my work who are making me sick.
It's my first job and it allowed me to move from my parents house and buy things i ever wanted that are very expensives in my country. So it's a very big deal for me.
I have to say, i'm very overqualified for my job, i'm doing the job of two or even three people. Running the whole administration of the company by myself. The company is growing, so everyday i have more work and responsabilities, but my bosses are treating me worse and worse.
Luckily, i can get another similiar job easily, but hardly with an even pay, schedule and close to my home.
For context, this things happened in the lasts months.
-The company moved and they put me to do all the hard work moving the offices (Something that is not remotely close to my job, but i gladly did beacuse i have a strong work ethic) My bosses took the day off, except for one of them who were just there watching while driking tea and eating cake.
-They gave a bonus pay to everyone in the production sector who helped with the move, but not to me (because i'm in administration).
-During the move, someone mixed up a very important merchandise that was later sent wrong and they blamed me, even tho, it was a production thing.
-A familiar of them, accidentaly broke my office chair and since then i'm sitting in an uncomfortable wooden chair that is giving me a pain in the ass (It happened almost a year ago, and they said they were going to buy me another, but they haven't, and are buying a lot of useless and most expensive stuff).
-They took 3 days of my vacation due to an error who made the accounting study and they told me “mistakes happens”, and that if i want those days back, i'm ungrateful and they are going to take away my benefits (those that i mentioned above).
-Recently i found out, i'm the person who earns the least in the company (And i'm the one who works the most, for sure).
-They give a huge bonus pay to the entire production sector for xmas, but not to me, again, even tho my job requiere a lot more knowledge, expertise and it is in high demand.
I'm so freaking mad at work, my productivity dropped a lot, i got bored and days are long since the company does not interest me anymore. I can't relax on the weekends, or even in my vacations because sometimes the thought of having to return gives me anxiety.
I don't know why they treat me so poorly, i suspect is because i'm by far the youngest person (I'm 26y and started when i was 24) so they see me as inmature and manipulable, and maybe the whole first year i was, because i was so excited to work and please my bosses in hopes of getting a promotion.
A lot of people (Mostly boomers) told me that is not that bad, taking into account all the benefits i have. And that another job will probably be the same or worse.
I don't know if i'm overracting, i have a lot to lose, but i really want to quit…
