I have been at a job for the last two months and will be moving in a few weeks. It is a plant nursery on the bosses family’s land.
There are a few reasons that push me to make this report.
1) 4 out of the 9 employees are paid under the table
2) they are a rude lot, i have been told off for tossing a solo cup
3) they have provided no water during this heatwave (index reached 112 a few days ago), and we are outside for eight hours a day
4) i was told off for using the bathroom, despite explaining when I started there that I have GI issues and might need to go.
5) since i am short term, I wont be on the books at all while I am there, to quote the bosses daughter, “Why would I bother putting you on the books for such a short time?”
Should I report this even if it is only to keep myself from issues with the IRS
