Should I send an email to HR?

So I was recently in a general management role. Things in my work area were not properly working (several of our pos systems were malfunctioning, our receipt machines weren’t working, we had a very small staff causing me to work 60-70 hours a week) I was very vocal about wanting things to work in the store. As a salary employee working several hours for basically free, I just wanted things to work. I was told by my regional manager that I would be getting transferred to a new location as an assistant manager (demotion) I lost all my vacation time. What I’m questioning at the moment is that I’m pretty sure I was due for a raise. It had been about 6 months and I was met with a demotion. I’m a little more cynical then the average person and I’m thinking they just demoted me to avoid giving me…
