Do employees deserve a mandatory cut of profits above and beyond wages and salary?

It seems the idea of real bonuses has gone away unless you are C-Suite or senior leadership.
I’m okay with helping businesses earn lots of money. I’m not opposed to CEOs being rich. I’m arguing, as an employee, I would be compensated if I’m required to produce more and if the business is killing it in profits the , not investors, sold get first cuts.
